Prom is a great excuse to get glam!
Now that we’ve seen the beautiful hair that Hair Stylist and Freelance Writer Megan Hollinger created (check out that post here!) – we just had to create a makeup look to do it justice! And Glam eyes are the way to do it! We designed this prom eye look with spring in mind. Using beautiful peaches and fun lashes!
At the beginning of every look we prep the skin and got the complexion ready, to see our favorite way to prep the skin, check out our Beauty Blender Post!
We filled in her brows and prepped the eyes with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer (urbandecay.com, $12). Work this all the way up to the brow, we want the entire lid prepped.
We used MAC’s Vanilla Pigment (maccosmetics.com, $22) all over the lid. We want it to be the main focus on the lid for the look. Then we grabbed our Lime Crime Palette (limecrime.com, $32) and used “Shell” and “Rebirth” in the crease.
Blend it in using a fluffy brush so the crease is diffused and there are no harsh lines.
We added the “Icon” color in the outer third of the eye. Blend this one up and out, so we really play up the smokey effect!
Now you can draw on your liner flick, tips on how to do this, you can check out any of our posts from Liner Week! Once you have your flick, add black liner in the water line and smoke it out with “Icon”.
Add mascara and your favorite lashes to finish off the look.
We want to complete the look with a lip so we chose Lolita by Kat Von D (katvondbeauty.com, $20). We chose this one because it is a lip stain and it will last all night long!
Finish off the whole thing with a setting spray so nothing comes off while you are dancing the night away!
Prom is such a fun and special day! We hope you have a safe and amazing night!
